Odgovor: Pozajmica je, shodno islamskoj koncepciji, isključivo humanitarne prirode. To znači da se pozajmicom materijalno ne profitira, a svaka korist uvjetovana kreditiranjem je kamata. Zbog toga je razumljivo da ne postoje profitabilne institucije koje daju pozajmice u skladu sa islamskim propisom. U nekim islamskim zemljama postoje državne humanitarne institucije koje kreditiraju bez kamate.

Stvarne troškove obrade kredita može snositi dužnik. Klasični učenjaci, govoreći o propisima duga, naglašavaju da troškove mjerenja neophodnog pri vraćanju posuđenih žitarica i sličnog snosi dužnik. Drugim riječima kazano, ako se troškovi obrade određuju procentualno u odnosu na visinu kredita, kao što je slučaj u ovom pitanju, to je znak da se ne radi samo o troškovima obrade, jer ti troškovi ne variraju promjenom visine pozajmice. Trebalo bi da cijena troškova obrade kredita bude izražena fiksnim iznosom bez obzira na visinu pozajmice, npr. 100 KM.

Ukoliko ne postoji mogućnost beskamatne pozajmice, rješenje se može iznaći u različitim oblicima islamskog investiranja. Onaj ko isključivo želi doći do gotovine, a ne nalazi beskamatnu pozajmicu, može kupiti određenu robu, poput automobila, uz odgodu plaćanja, a zatim robu prodati za gotovinu. Nema smetnje da se tako kupljena roba proda po nižoj cijeni od koje je kupljena, ali ovakva trgovina ne smije biti fiktivna ili lukavstvo kojim se dolazi do kamatnog kredita, nego trgovina mora biti stvarna. Stoga nije dozvoljeno na odgodu kupljenu robu dogovorno prodati onome od koga je kupljena, jer je suština tog ugovora da je kupac dobio gotovinu zadužujući se većim iznosom, a roba se vratila svom prvobitnom vlasniku i bila je samo maska kamatnom kreditu.
