Zahvalnost riječima iskazuje se verbalnim priznavanjem Allahovih blagodati, stalnim spominjanjem i zahvalom i kazivanjem o Allahovim blagodatima. Rekao je Uzvišeni Allah: “O blagodatima Gospodara svoga kazuj!” (Ed-Duha, 11) Džabir, radijallahu anhu, prenosi da je Poslanik, sallallahu alejhi ve sellem, rekao: “Ako imućan čovjek dobije poklon, neka uzvrati istom mjerom, a onaj ko to nije u mogućnosti, neka pohvali dobročinitelja ili prouči dovu za njega i tako će se zahvaliti. Ko ne uzvrati ili ne pohvali dobročinitelja, taj je nezahvalan. Ko se kiti nečim što nema, takav je kao onaj koji oblači lažnu odjeću.”[1] Hadis je podijelio ljude u tri kategorije: one koji su zahvalni na blagodatima, one koji su nezahvalni i one koji pokazuju da im pripada nešto što im ustvari ne pripada. [2] U hadisu se kaže: “Govoriti o blagodati dio je zahvalnosti na njoj.”[3]

Iz navedenog razumijemo da je govor o blagodati jedan vid zahvalnosti i poželjno djelo, ali samo ako se o blagodatima kazuje bez umišljenosti, hvalisanja i oholosti, jer to je pogubno i poništava djela, neka nas Allah sačuva.

Iskazivanje zahvalnosti djelima

Zahvalnost se iskazuje rukama, nogama, vidom, sluhom… Naprimjer, zahvalnost na imetku iskazuje se trošenjem na Allahovom putu. Zahvalnost nije ograničena na riječi, nego se i korištenje dijelova tijela u pokornosti Allahu smatra zahvalnošću Allahu. Uzvišeni Allah ukazao je na to da se i činjenje djela smatra vidom zahvalnosti Allahu. Rekao je Uzvišeni: “Radite i budite zahvalni, o porodico Davudova! A malo je zahvalnih među Mojim robovima.” (Sebe’, 13)

Rob koji je zahvalan svome Gospodaru jeste onaj koji priznaje blagodati, koji je zadovoljan s Allahom, a i Allah je zadovoljan s njim. U tom kontekstu navodi se izreka učenjaka iz prve generacija muslimana: “Potpuna zahvalnost sastoji se od tri dijela: priznanja blagodati i zahvalnosti na tome, zadovoljstva dobijenim i negriješenja prema Allahu s tom blagodati.”

Dakle, brojne su blagodati, ali je isto tako i dosta ljudske nezahvalnosti. Mnogo je onih koji uživaju velike blagodati, a vrlo su nemarni prema Allahovim naredbama i čine brojne grijehe.

Zahvalnost djelima i tijelom iskazuje se dvojako:

a) korištenjem blagodati u pokornosti i

b) izbjegavanjem griješenja s tom blagodati.

Sluh i vid ubrajaju se u najveće Allahove blagodati i zahvalnost na njima iskazuje se korištenjem tih blagodati u djelima kojima je Allah zadovoljan te izbjegavanjem gledanja i slušanja onoga što je zabranjeno. U suprotnom, zahvalnost nije potpuna. Poslanik, sallallahu alejhi ve sellem, rekao je: “Allah voli da vidi trag blagodati na Svome robu.”[4] Ovaj je hadis dokaz da je na blagodati zahvalan onaj ko je pokaže na sebi, a onaj ko sakrije blagodat, nezahvalan je na njoj.

Dakle, zahvalnost nije potpuna sve dok je čovjek ne bude iskazivao i jezikom, i srcem i tijelom. U slučaju da nedostaje jedan od ova tri elementa, nedostaje jedan temelj zahvalnosti ili obavezna potpunost. Ljudi se razlikuju u iskazivanju zahvalnosti onoliko koliko se razlikuju u primjeni ovih temelja u stvarnosti. U tom kontekstu rečeno je da zahvalnost možemo podijeliti na dva dijela: opću i posebnu.

Opća zahvalnost podrazumijeva zahvalnost jezikom i priznanje blagodati kojima je Allah obasuo Svoga roba.

Posebna zahvalnost podrazumijeva zahvalnost srcem koja se iskazuje poniznošću i predanošću Uzvišenom, zahvalnost jezikom koja se iskazuje priznavanjem blagodat i zahvaljivanjem se na njima, i zahvalnost tijelom koja se manifestira tako što se čovjek pokorava Allahu, i izvršava ono što On od njega traži i udaljava od svega zabranjenog.
