Pitanje: Selam alejkum! Da li je Iblis melek ili džinn? Čitajući kur’anske ajete nailazim na nedoumicu u kontekstu:
– kada je Iblis rekao: ”Zašto da činim sedždu? Njega (Adema) si stvorio od zemlje, a
mene od vatre” – iz toga proizilazi da je Iblis džinn;
– s druge strane imamo ajet koji kaže: “A kad rekosmo melekima: ‘Učinite sedždu Ademu,svi se pokoriše, osim Iblisa” – iz ovoga proizilazi da je bio melek. A ako su meleki
po definiciji bezgrješni, kako je Iblis mogao odbiti poslušnost?
Molim ako znate, da razriješite ovu nedoumicu. Da vas Allah nagradi!

Odgovor: Iblis, Allah ga prokleo, bio je džinn. Nikada, pa ni treptaj oka nije bio melek. Meleki su časna stvorenja, ne odbijaju pokornost Allahu nego čine sve što im se naredi, a što se navodi u jasnim i direktnim kur’anskim tekstovima koji ukazuju da je Iblis bio džinn, a ne melek. Ti dokazi su:

Allah, subhanehu ve te’ala, kaže: ”Kada smo melekima rekli: ‘Učinite sedždu Ademu.’ Pa su je učinili svi meleki osim Iblisa jer je on od džinna bio. Oglušio se o naredbu svoga Gospodara.” (El-Kehf, 50)

Allah, subhanehu ve te’ala, pojasnio je da je džinne stvorio od vatre: ”A džinne smo prije stvorili od vatre usplamtale.” ( El-Hidžr, 27)
U vjerodostojnom hadisu preneseno je od Aiše, radijallahu anha, da je rekla: ”Allahov Poslanik, salallahu alejhi ve selem, rekao je: ”Meleki su stvoreni od svjetlosti, a džinni su stvoreni od rasplamtale vatre. Adem je stvoren od onoga što vam je opisano.” (Muslim, Ahmed, Bejheki i Ibn Hibban)

Od svojstava meleka je da su stvoreni od svjetlosti, dok su džinni stvoreni od vatre. U ajetima se spominje kako je Iblis sam za sebe govorio, kada ga je Allah, subhanehu ve teala, upitao o razlogu odbijanja sedžde Ademu, kada mu ju je Allah naredio, pa je rekao: ”Ja sam bolji od njega. Mene si stvorio od vatre, a njega od ilovače.” (El-E’araf, 12) Ovo je jasan dokaz da je Iblis bio džinn.

Allah, subhanehu ve te’ala, kaže: ”Oni su robovi časni. Ne govore prije nego što im On dopusti i po Njegovoj naredbi djeluju.” (El-Enbija, 26–27)
U drugom ajetu, Allah, subhanehu ve te’ala, kaže: ”Sve što je na nebesima i na Zemlji Allahu sedždu čini, od životinja i meleka, i oni se ne ohole. Boje se svog Gospodara iznad njih i čine ono što im se naredi.” (En-Nahl, 49 – 50) Dakle, nemoguće je da meleki budu neposlušni Allahu, subhanehu ve te’ala,  jer su zaštićeni od grijeha te su stvoreni da budu pokorni.

Time što Iblis nije od meleka, nije bio ni prinuđen na pokornost i imao je pravo izbora, upravo onako kao što ljudi imaju izbor. Allah, subhanehu ve te’ala, kaže: ”Mi smo mu ukazali na Pravi put, a on će biti zahvalan ili nezahvalan.”

Hasan el-Basri je rekao: ”Iblis nikada nije bio melek ni koliko je treptaj oka. On je u osnovi džinn kao što je Adem u osnovi bio čovjek.”

Priče ili predaje o tome kako je Iblis bio vođa među melekima, da je bio i isticao se kao najugledniji po ibadetu i tome slično, uglavnom su israilijati (predaje od kitabija) i koje su uglavnom suprotne onome što je spomenuto u Kur’anu.

Ajet kojeg je pitalac naveo ni čim ne ukazuje da je Iblis bio melek, nego ukazuje da je bio jedan od prisutnih među njima. Tako da na osnovu prethodnih ajeta i hadisa možemo slobodno reći kao zaključak da je Iblis, Allah ga prokleo, bio nepokorni džinn i nevjernik.
